A VOID (IN THEORY)

welcome to my corner of the internet! here you will find an experimental home for my angsty thoughts and other random pages to house different parts of my life in an effort to challenge myself to embrace the vulnerability and multiplicity of being online and a part of the human experience.

as someone whose childhood was largely shaped by escapist online sharing on xanga (can't forget the drop-down music selection from mp3's you found online by the song name + mp3 search pattern) and livejournal (the communities feature helped shape my music taste) and teenaged years on myspace meticulously customising the layout (just hide the top friends or only put bands you like), i realised i longed for an experience like that in my later younger adult years when apps like instagram and snapchat were first gaining popularity, where suddenly an image is worth more than words (it can be, it often is) to the extent that we'd so much rather spend our energy processing visually than textually.

anyway, it's all to say: this is an experiment to bring back that spirit so this little internet space of mine is going to change whenever i want it to -- dynamically, chaotically, whatever!

RIP to this camera, but I messaged the person I bought it from on Facebook and may have a solution coming. In other news, I started shooting with a Canon SureShot Z115 -- maybe we'll see a dedicated photos section on this site in some point.

(♡ ˘͈ ᵕ ˘͈) in real life i actually hate my corporate STEM job so you may find frequent updates to this site! ( ˘͈ ᵕ ˘͈♡)
